A former Kaizer Chiefs target has reportedly become a free agent ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Tanzanian Premier League outfit Simba have parted ways with Congolese playmaker Fabrice Ngoma, according to the Guardian.

The midfielder, who was linked with Chiefs, become one of Fadlu Davids' experienced players in the squad, but the club has now decided to move on and bring in fresh faces.

The Guardian have also reported that the CAF Confederation Cup runners-up are now actively in the transfer market looking for a replacement and have stumbled on Angolan Higino Epalanga Kapitango.

"The coaches believe Kapitango has the right profile to fill the void left by Ngoma and also offer something different to our midfield department," the source told the Guardian.

The same report also claimed that defender Mohammed Hussein is set to extend his stay with the Tanzanian giants.

“Zimbwe Jr expressed his wish to renew his contract after the 2024/25 season ended, and the management fully respected his decision. We’ve already agreed on everything. The new deal is just waiting for his signature,” the source said.
